#VOTE4MONDAY’s Topic Results (Week 6)

Wah.. wah.. wah….

Sad face

Unfortunately there were no votes, but that’s okay!

#Vote4Monday’s topic is going to go into reformation.

I am working on a side project to have people just submit a vote via clicking on a button.  I’m working on a type of ‘poll’ that I can cast votes for every week.  It’s in the works right now and there’s not a high demand for it at this current time.  I don’t really have enough readers at this current moment to justify needing a #Vote4Monday’s Topic.  When I’m writing enough blogs and hopefully getting to the point where I can write blogs daily, and I’m starting to get a lot more readers based on my current content then I’ll re-install a new version of #Vote4Monday.

Until then, looks like we’re just going to have to put this on pause.  I’ll say that it’s going on vacation for a little bit…

Thanks to all my readers who participated, you really made a difference in my week’s topics and I’m happy for the feedback!  I’m going to write more blog posts and whatever was voted on or brought up in previous weeks I’ll work on writing blogs for.

Until then I’m focusing a lot on recipes, food photography, nursery, travel, and all sorts of blog posts that are up and coming!

I can’t wait for everyone to see what’s in store!  So, this isn’t goodbye this is hold on for now…

Soon I’ll be posting even more blog posts where I can get more readers, fans, and subscribers!

Thanks again to everyone!!

#Vote4Monday’s Topic (week 5)

Unfortunately, I’m skipping this #Vote4Monday because I’ll be on the road and won’t be able to write a blog post.  However, I will be resuming the schedule of #Vote4Monday next week.  I apologize for the inconvenience.  I know everyone looks forward to the voting4monday topics, being on the road all weekend, 23 weeks pregnant, and my whole week is booked next week it’s really to make sure I don’t make promises I can’t keep.  I hate that.  So instead, I’ll deliver the bad news first and hope everyone understands!  I will be posting a blog next week about my travels over the weekend so do stay tuned for that!!

I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend and enjoys the beautiful weather (at least it’s beautiful in Washington State!)

Thanks to all my readers for taking time to read my blog!

#VOTE4MONDAY’s Topic Reveal & Winner (Week 4)

This week was a wash because of an error due to WordPress posting.  I have no idea why but the #Vote4Monday’s Topic Blog was deleted on Friday and I didn’t notice until Sunday when I went to check the votes!  BOO!!  However, I did have a fan post their idea on (today)Monday–which I will put in the options for this week’s #Vote4Monday!!

It all works out though because I’m trying to finish up the nursery this week.  It gives me a lot of time to focus on tasks at hand.  Also, today Nana comes over to help out with fun stuff with the baby’s room!  Woo hoo!

Thanks everyone for following my blog and I look forward to posting more topics throughout the week while I conquer the nursery!  🙂

My goal is to have it all painted by Friday.

#Vote4Monday’s Topic (Week 4)

————-(Update) Again, I posted this on Friday and it didn’t show up.  It’s as if I can only post one blog topic per day or it get’s deleted.  I can’t figure it out.  I apologize for this not being posted on Friday, I guess I’ll just stop posting more than once on Friday’s.———————–

#Vote4Monday-(Week-4)

Rain again?  That’s okay!  We’ll be busy working on the nursery so continue to rain Washington! Hope everyone has something fun or eventful planned for this weekend.  I consider resting or sleeping all day both eventful and fun-fyi.

Maybe you can even come up with some awesome ideas for next week’s #Vote4Monday’s Topic!

Just like week 2, this week, I get to choose from the topics YOU think of. That’s right, whatever topic interests you in the health field, you got a question about a supplement or mineral, you want to know about a diet fad, you want another recipe, or you got a subject that you’d like to know more about ‘health-related’… post your comment “entry” for your chance at getting your topic voted on! I’ll review the topics, in the comment section over the weekend.

Monday, I’ll post the results of who WON and what topic I voted for! I’m so excited to see your entries! So give me as many topics as you want, there’s no limit to how many topics you can give me to choose from! 🙂

#VOTE4MONDAY’s Topic Reveal & Winner (Week 3)

This week *you* voted for the topic…

#Vote4Monday Week 3 WINNER

Option 2 won 1:0!  🙂 A special thank you to my readers, followers, and fans for making a special effort to vote for the topic each week.

I am definitely excited about this week’s hot topic WATER!

I’ve been studying the pH of the body, enzyme therapy, quantum healing, and also water.  I always like to add in blog topic choices that also pertain to my studies as it helps me communicate what I’ve been researching and learning about in my master’s program with nutritional therapy.  There is really so much to learn and understand about the body and water is such an important tool in order to help heal your body!

This topic will allow me to break down just how well it works for health, rejuvenation, and vitality!  Water plays a major role in preventing and treating common diseases like: eczema, depression, chronic fatigue, obesity, gastric disorders, high blood pressure, urinary infections, rheumatism, etc.  Our bodies are exposed to many more toxins and pollutants, high stress environments, highly processed/high sodium foods, alcohol and tobacco, chemicals sprays, etc. than our ancestors had to deal with which is why it’s so important to rehydrate and restore body functions by addressing the conditions directly.

Find out how and why water is essential and what we can do to remove toxins and restore vital nutrients balancing our body in the educational blog post:
Water: how to stay hydrated and what that means.

Thanks again for voting for topics that interest you, the reader! 🙂

#Vote4Monday’s Topic (week 3)

#VOTE4MONDAY_Week3(TITLE)

Yes, it’s almost weekend time!  Time to get some work done and enjoy the beautiful sun in Washington state.  Saturday we’re going to bask in the sun on another hike and get some more house work done!  Sunday, is Superbowl Sunday, so of course we’ll be… ON THE ROAD!  Let’s see.. no one will be on the road so that sounds like a perfect time to take advantage of the zero traffic we’ll encounter.  Where are we going?  I have no idea but as long as it’s not football related and doesn’t contain the blue/neon green colors… who cares? I just hope everyone is having fun at home while we are enjoying the open road. 😀

I also hope ya’ll find some time this weekend to VOTE4MONDAY’s topic! #VOTE4MONDAY_Week3

#Vote4Monday’s Topic Reveal & Winner (Week 2)

This week we did things a little different and I had you come up with topic options for me to choose for #Vote4Monday’s topic!

VOTE4MONDAY2_WINNER

This week’s Winner is: Alexis! Here’s what she wrote:

#VOTE4MONDAY

I would love to read a blog about healthy eating on the go. I’ve conquered all of the healthy eating hurdles besides when I want to have a date night or meet a friend for lunch or have a day of errands and no time to pack a healthy lunch. Talk about what to look for at your average restaurant, different tips and options. Your personal experience with eating out. What I should be cautious of or avoid. Are there any restaurants that actually offer healthy options? Or anywhere that you can grab a snack that isn’t your local market’s produce section. I almost always pack healthy options but say I’m in a jam and have 5 minutes to between errands to grab and go with no produce markets around I.e. Near shopping malls etc. thanks for the consideration! Love reading your blog!

Yes, eating healthy on the go can be quite the challenge.  I can definitely relate, as both my husband and I have encountered situations of eating healthy while travelling countless times!  Including travelling to New York, where I had to preform at the Hard Rock Café in Times Square, New York City.  I couldn’t eat ANYTHING that wasn’t strictly within my diet regimen because I needed my body to be at most the top shape so I could handle the pollution and other elements around me.  In Washington State, with all these trees we really do have a lot to be thankful for, especially when you travel outside and into a cement city where the only trees are sandwiched between cement sidewalks.  A totally different atmosphere and my voice couldn’t be affected by it, period.  We also go on a ton of road trips, hiking excursions, and are constantly in situations where we can’t drive to our safe home and eat our safe food. I love this topic and I am sure many other people encounter this often!  Eating out with friends & family especially!  Food brings people together and restaurants are a great way to make sure that connection happens. I’ll talk about all this and more in the blog post: How to eat healthy on the go!

#VOTE4MONDAY’s Topic Reveal & Winner (Week 1)

Alright!  Well, the results from #Vote4Monday topic are in and looks like the…
Sweet Curry Cashews won 1:0!  🙂  Thank you for voting!

Sweet Curry Cashew REVEAL Photo

I know this number will increase as time continues on and I add more content to my blog, increasing both the readers and followers. Sweet Curry Cashews are a delicious and savory treat for everyone! I love these, my husband loves these, and anyone who has tried them has loved them so much they usually end up gone the same day I make them.  So, while I will say that these are healthy they are also VERY addicting. There could be worse things to be addicted to though, so don’t fret if you eat them all. Healthy?  Yes!  As always my goal with the food I make is to not only be amazingly delicious it’s got to be amazingly healthy too.

  • Healthy side note: While I agree that food is an energy and nutrient source, I don’t think it should necessarily taste the way society has subjected ‘healthy’ food to look and taste.  Healthy food should be food we love and look forward to not only eating but making as well. Since the dawn of time, man/woman has had an emotional connection with food [citation needed].  From the way it was hunted, to the way it formed families and communities, food has made a major impact on the emotional connection we’ve made to our lifestyle choices.  For years now we’ve built up this very emotional psychological relationship with the way food tastes while nearly neglecting what it’s doing to our bodies and it’s showing through all of our ailments and diseases.  It’s important that your body can do something with the ingredients that are being put inside and not just store it or pass it through like a waste storage facility.  It pays off to pay attention to the kinds of sugars and salts that are in our diets.  Finding salts that are high in minerals like Real Salt and Himalayan Salt offer nutritional boosts that make eating this salt better for your body than table salt. As well as, finding sugars that are high in minerals Like Coconut Palm Sugar (unrefined coconut sugar) and Coconut Nectar (a liquid syrup).  Pay attention to the Macro-Micro Nutritional Information. As the more complex the sugar is, the more work (calories) your body has to do in order to break down the content.
    • The truth about Salt: No matter what we’re told about salt from the media the truth is, our body needs salt but most of our diets are too high in sodium.  Pay attention to where your sodium intake is ‘sourced’ from.  Fast foods, pre-packaged frozen foods, and ingredients that are high in sodium really spike up your salt intake.  Also most of those added salts are generic salts that do not have a high mineral content.  Most salts do not supply you with Iodine anymore so if you are deficient in iodine consider taking a good supplement in order to get your daily iodine intake.  People who suffer from PCOS should really consider this as it helps in balancing those hormones.
    • The truth about Sugar: Sugars that are not highly refined or processed are better for your body to digest, but supplementing white sugar or high fructose corn syrup for beet or cane sugar isn’t enough.  We should all be paying attention to the amount and complexity of the sugar we are using in a recipe.  That’s why molasses and honey are used in a lot of healthy recipes, they require less and in order to obtain that ‘sweet’ flavor and are more complex nutritionally.  However, not all sugar substitutes are treated the same and some of those may not be the best options for you.  For example, if you have diabetes, honey isn’t the best substitute for you.  However, coconut nectar or liquid stevia are a much better option.  Check out low-glycemic sugars and eat all sugars with proteins and fats so your body can balance out the rate of absorption.

You’ve been patient, so now I’ll move on with the recipe.  I’m very excited to share this with you and I hope it generates some interest and feedback!
